Council Vice Chair Neil Garner Inducted Into International Honor Society of Nursing

On March 2, 2011, Council Vice Chair Neil Garner was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.  He received this honor because of his work as an outstanding nursing leader in the community for over two decades.

There were 155 individuals nominated to become a part of this organization, and only 36 were inducted with Vice Chair Garner being the first approved by the board of directors.

The three main areas of focus for Sigma Theta Tau are knowledge, scholarship and service.  Vice Chair Garner was selected to join the organization because he has excelled in each of these areas.

Sigma Theta Tau serves as the only international nursing honor society in the world and has 469 chapters in 86 countries.  Ogden’s local chapter, Nu Nu, was charted in 1992 and has 176 active members.
